in one scene, there was a place with a big "Broasted Chicken" sign. One day, way-back-when, in January of '82, snow closed school, so I went with my buddy Dwayne on a delivery circuit of broaster supplies from Okmulgee, out to Oklahoma City, down to Marlow and Duncan, and back to Okmulgee in the company's late-70's Dodge cubicle van.
It was colder'n a witch-tit out on I-40, and when we approached OKC, the carburetor linkage had frozen "wide open", and the only way we could decelerate was to throw it into neutral :-O ... did that for several blocks until the slower driving allowed enough heat to stay in the engine compartment to thaw the carb.
Stayed overnight at his aunt and uncle's place in Duncan (or was it Marlow?) She made chocolate chip waffles for us.
