Remember I stated that there would be a select few that would flame me on my post. . Well, the few above are the horse's *****'s that I was referring to. They have yet to ever say anything positive about anything. Just look at their post history. They have to slam every post no matter how much they poop in their mess kit! :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf I wish I would have bet on the two guys names that would blast me. Lil "PUNK" ineater. Whay are you always such an *****? :-laf :-laf

A dodge is still a dodge. I would have never bought one but for the Cummins. What really gets me is the door seals. You think some engineer would've opened and closed the doors a few times checking clearances. That's the kind of crap no Japanese manufacturer would ever let slide. Heck, they would've caught that problem in the development stage. And I know it's petty, but the upper seat belt guides are painted steel. Well, the paint has worn through and I haven't even owned my truck 6 months. That's what I get for wearing my seatbelt.

WOW a Mustang GT, Good kid or not He is just starting his driving career. That is a lot of power to turn over to a 16 y. o. ! Peer preasure and struting his stuff for a good looking lady might just overwhelm his ability to handle that much car. And the Insurance$$$$$$$$$. I started my daughter out ( whohas her 4yr degree from USF and is graduating from UCF this spring with her Masters ) a 1983 SB slant 6 ram, then stepedher up to a 94 Gr. Cherokee, and finally bought her a new 2002 6cyl Pony Mustang for her 21 birthday. My daughter has maintained a 3. 87 GPA throughout colledge just like your son but give the lad a chance to learn alittle about driving before turning him loose with that kind of power. NOW this is just my 2 cents and as a 20 year firefighter I've seen what can happen when you mix HP and youth. Please take this message for the reason I intend it to be taken.

I bought my sixteen year old a broken down VW and talked him through an engine rebuild to get it running. He drove it throughout high school and half of college. He's an army captain now. Did the same for my daughter (Karmann Ghia). She was a helicopter mechanic in Desert Storm and is married to an army major now.

jsimpson. That is fantastic that your kids have turned out so well. My oldest, is a C. P. A. for the past 4 years. The next is still in medical school, and the next is in the electronics field. My youngest, plans to head to a trade school after graduation. None of my kids abused their autos, unlike some of their friends. My wife and I chose to give each of the kids their first car at 16 so they wouldn't have to worry about a evening job during high school and have their grades suffer. In return, they ALL worked for me on my ranch, cleaning stalls, feeding the horses, and a few other chores. I have been blessed with 4 great kids. Oo.

PJ, I've long felt that if my dad had given me a 57 Corvette in 58 when I turned 16, that I'd have paid more attention to my studies and spent less time obsessing about cars. Of course the other side of that is that I coulda got myself killed in the Vette like another kid in my high school did in the new Vette his dad gave him. Oh well, to each his own!

I'm with these guys. GIVING a 16 year old a $27000 car (or whatever they cost) sounds a bit generous to me. But to each his own.

All you guys sound jealous of this kid.

Me personally , I had to bust my *** working 3 jobs to buy a $4500 chevelle for my first car, BUT my wife, her dad bought her a corvette when she was 16. Shockingly, she was an awesome kid who took care of her grandparents, and worked, and went to school . She is the most responsible, kind, caring person I have ever known.

So just maybe his kid deserves it.

Well I didn't have to bust my *** to get a $4000 Chevelle. No sir no THREE jobs for me! I had one small part time job. I bought a $250 pink and purple Rambler Amercan 440 with a three speed on the floor and a OVERDRIVE shifter right next to the three speed. Even had brand new MACADO recaps! Clutch only slipped a little!

This has gotten WAY off topic. Why is it that every post always gets more read into it than needs be? Its like this is a website full of a bunch of little old ladies that have to gossip. Give me a break! Lets get back to the topic and get over the rest of this BS

Ford owns Cummins yea yea yea yea Ford is gonna do this yea yea yea yea Ford is the yea yea yea. Them Ford boys will never quit. As for as Ford putting a Cummins in there F250-F350 It Ain't Gonna Happen

This will keep coming up forever.

This is changing the subject a little but this fellow that is our male seceratary used to always say he would never buy a truck with a stinking diesel in it. Well he bought a Ford diesel kept it about a year and bought another one with the 6. 0. And the first one he bought was the best truck around and naturally the best engine and now the one hes got now is well naturally it is so much better and so quiet. He always put diesels down in the past but now he knows everything about them cause he drives a Ford truck with the greatest engine there is. Something just made me think of that fellow. :D

I will say it again-------It ain't gonna happen.
