Dodge or Cummins ?

My first was a 1989. HATED the truck, loved the engine.

You'll find a few MOPAR or NOCAR guys out here, but very few.

Cummins for the '94, turned out to be the best truck I've owned all around. Bought the '01 cuz of both.

The Dodge. Didn't know much about diesels and Cummins was known to me because of their participation in NASCAR. After two years of ownership I can say I have the best of both worlds.

For the dodge, I didn't know much about the cummins, and I was unhappy about the preformance of the engine and drivetrain for the first year and a half. I now have been educated by this web site and I am slowly working to correct the problems with the preformance. My dealership is completly useless and they just kept saying that the truck was within the specs. Just getting ready to by another truck and I think I will take another shot at a Dodge/cummins combo and hope I have better luck.

Read my story posted a little earlier about my transfer case which was just one of many issues with Dodge. I definitely bought it for the Cummins and I'm definitely happy with my Cummins.

I bought the Cummins and am stuck with the Dodge. I have had several Dodges before, but this truck is by far the worst of the lot. I am not happy with the truck at all, but the engine makes it tolerable.

This was my first and last dodge I will ever buy, going to custom build my next truck, 55 chevy front clip and cab stretched to crewcab with 4x4 under carriage with a cummins for power. For the amount of deniro I forked over for the dodge, I can have one hell of a time building my own truck.
