Dodge performance chip

I was planning to install performance chip for my Dodge Ram 5.9. Last day when I checked in BC Diesel website I found one Dodge Ram 5.9 performance chip of Bully Dog. But one of my friend says usage of some performance chips can lead to engine problems and higher maintenance cost. What about this product? I would like to know about the performance chips of bully dog. Can somebody please check this product and tell me about your reviews?

Smarty is the one that i see recomended most. Safer tuning then some. Edge programers are known to cause probs. A lot of the problem is guys turn up the power but dont add gauges to moniter exh tempts, etc. Smarty JR is a cheaper tuner that will make a big diff in how ur truck drives!

Your friend is correct as a general rule. That is why my '05 is stock.

I ran a Smarty on my 03 5.9 and on my 08 6.7 and like it.
