Try them out LOL!!! www.freetranslation.com

My wife has tried about 3 dozen online translators as her parents live in Germany and "Ich keine Spreche Deutsch", most did poorly,

This converter posted is not much better.

The best way to try to check the "spoken" ability of a translator is to input a translation into it, then make it revert back and forth twice and see how it does. Most get confused and change, "hope all is well, love Mom", into something like ,"Hope I get to shag on your momy". Not good if you don't have forgiving friends on the other end of the message.

I'll stick to what I know in my bi lingual youth, English and American.

I think if DC would put a Cummins or Cat in the 6500/7000 trucks and sell those here in the U. S. ,they'd would be very popular. I like the looks of the trucks and I know I'd buy one if were available in the states.

They also made a Ramcharger in Mexico. 2nd gen front end and doors, back end durango. It was really cool. I was told by Chrysler it was cheaply done and would not pass US standards.

I'd like to get some Ram 4000 emblems. No idea where do get them from either same as the mirrors ICI is looking for

About those emblems I could check for you. I lived in Mexico for a year and when I had my Ride down there it turned a lot of heads. The cummins guys down on the Baja did some nice work for me in La Paz. In about a few weeks were going back down on the mainland and I'll be checking out those emblems if you want me to. Steve

Yes please I would appricate that a bunch. I Would like the Dodge 4000 that says cummins turbo diesel underneath. Let me know if you find any, if you pick them up cheap enough, i would buy 2 sets. Also, if you get a chance take a look at the cool towing mirrors for the 4000 series truck

Okie Dokie, I'll check it out. I'll also be going over to Saltillo soon also. I going to check out if they have a parts dept there too. If the parts are there or at another place I'm thinking about, I'll contact you with the price first. Ill also check out the mirrors too! Steve

Hey! Don't forget me as long as you're there anyway! I'd really like the 6500 emblems, but I'll take most anything that's available, 4000, 4500, whatever.

Thanks,

Robert

Bid- Good idea, check the different series 4000, 4500, 6500... . :)

I wonder if they sell a 94-97 steering wheel assembly without an airbag? :)

I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll check out all the emblems. I'm sure I can get them. I would like to get somewhat of a price comparison here first. That way I'll know if it would be in a reasonable range or not. I'll also check out the steering wheel assy. w/o the air bag. I'll be going back and forth quite a bit so I'll be able find out. Steve

Regarding 4000

I was down is Puerto Vallarta 5 years ago. I saw a Dodge 6000 cummins turbo diesel. Like the Ford 550, side by side with a f-350, the f-550 is much larger. Basically the same vehicle at a larger scale. When I got home, I did some research, (because I gotta have one!)I got ahold of the foriegn relations there at Dodge at the head quarters. That vehicle was (at the time) only manufactured in Mexico at the plant in Mexico city. It had the old 1978 chassis with the cummins power plant. The vehicle was never exported outside of the country, and if I bought one, there would be NO warranty anywhare but in Mexico. The diesel was tuned to 235 HP. There was no abs, no air bag system, and it only was offered with a manual transmission. I renigged from buying one at that point. But, it sure was cool looking

No air bags and no ABS. That means it is a real truck! Nobody wants that crap in a new truck, it makes it too overcomplicated. I wish i could get my hands on that truck, I wonder if you can still buy one. What was the price?

Airbags save lives, ABS when designed correctly will too. If there was a way to deactivate the ABS during loads and heavy hauling, I would support it 100% as well. Empty pickup trucks are severely light in the rear and skid far too easily.

If you want a truck with no airbags, then put a bad fuse in the fuse panel for the airbag system. ABS can be disabled just as easily. Why would you support anything from mexico when they have proved their "quality" control with all the 53 blocks, and countless DC component failures on the Mexico built big three trucks? Its easier to disable a current system than to fix a poorly engineered system like those of most Mexican Mutts vehicles on the road.

If you want a "real" truck, go find a 1970 something pickup and have it restored from the ground up, you'll have less money in it and pay lower rates than a brand new one with no air bags or ABS. Ever think of the insurance issue with a Non US imported model?

In a large heavy duty truck, Airbags don't help that much. If you put larger tires on the truck then ABS does not work correctly. Plus then you need to stop real bad, you end up hitting the person in front of you since the ABs doesnt allow you to stop good enough. A fuse does not do the trick. I want a real steering wheel without that clockspring and air bag module. BTW- My truck was made in St. Louis, I don't advocate any production of US goods outside of America, I hate how these half wit mexicans laborers are putting together trucks incorrectly and shotty. The 53 block was not the mexican block, it was made in brazil and if you do your reading, the mexican block was the strongest of them all. Dodge has just as many problems are everyone else, they all make junk. I like a 2nd gen 12v since their is less junk you will need to replace. 3rd gens are going to be worthless since there are many many more items to break than compared to our 1996's. A 70's crew cab with a cummins 12v would be nice :) Insurance, just get dealers insurance and that covers you and your family on every car you drive :)
