Dodge Ram and "Big Muskie"

My first gen with the American Electric Power "MUSKIE" bucket. South East Ohio. I forget the cubic yards the bucket would handle. It was like six times that of the largest one up to that point. Used to srtip off the overburden from a coal seam.



I'll see if I can find a picture of the muskie. She was scrapped in 2000 :{

I saw Big Muskie, and thought, can, only be one thing, yup!!It is! Awesome machine!!

I often fly into Evansville, IN and see many of those machines still at work or just sitting in a field out to the east of the city. They're huge.
