Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Lee loader Pros-Cons

Funny how things work in life...

many years ago when i was in college I bought a used winchester 94 in 30-30. Something was up with the sights, cant remember exactly but I think it shot so far off to one side it couldn't be corrected with the sights, Any way I really like the rifle and planned on buying a new one. Too bad Winchester stopped making em. Looking on gun broker today to get an idea how much they are going for I found this NIB Winchester 94 Marksman 1000 Dodge Ram Tough : Lever Action at GunBroker.com

Thought you guys might like it.

Also never realized, duh!, that these rifles go back to 1894 Any one familiar with the WIN 94 and can tell me what to look for in a used one?

since winchester went out of business the older ones are bringing a premium price. they started using stamped parts in 1964 and the quality is poor after this date. the last ones produced has funky safety features that are a real detractor the collectors do not like the commemeratives. if you like octagon barrels you can pick up a canadian centennial for about $500 the post 64 to the funky safety round barrel can be found for about $450
