basically it involves changing the PCM software to ignor the oil pressure sender. It the sender indicates too high or too an oil pressure the PCM puts 40 PSI on the gauge, I am a victim of this one. They do this to save warranty replacement of the sender. There have been many threads of people who had it done complaining. I wonder what the IQ is of the current DC "engineers" who write such patches. After the reflash I had 40 PSI, hot, cold, idle, redline. I went back and beefed and they got the ok from Star to troubleshoot the system. Result: new sender but because of the reflash, if I ever lose oil pressure I will see 40 PSI on the dash. Thanks DC, what a bunch of dumba$$es sometimes.
