Sprinter's new Mercedes-Benz Common-Rail Direct Injection Diesel Engine is exactly what you need in a commercial vehicle. It combines longer life, low maintenance costs and better fuel efficiency with the smooth, clean, quiet performance not typically expected from diesels.

NEVR MIND!

It looks like it's only available with the diesel. I didn't see any gasoline specs. That's cool.

It's a little too boxy for my tastes, but I'm sure they are functional.

Yup that is my new truck. I am going to buy one, drive straight to DD in Vegas and have the biggest baddest injectors, Hottest Edge box and the biggest turbo I can have put in it. Then I am going to drive to the nearest drag strip and blow away some ricer with a huge box van..... yes I can not wait.

:D :D :D

I saw one not to long ago that a local Amsoil dealer was using for deliveries. He liked it, had a 5 cylinder MB diesel. Really quiet.

When did the Aztec designer start working for D/C? Man is that thing homely. It looks like a sperm that's missing the tail. Oops... can I say that on here? If not, please delete - I don't want any Steve strikes!;)

After seeing Emacks post about them a few months ago I went and looked at them at the local freightliner dealer and am going to get a couple at work to use as delivery vans. They are somewhat ugly but if I recall fedex is using 4000 of them and gets an average of 22mpg. The oil interval is 10k and with a 165. 00 option called assyst it monitors the quality of the oil and lets you go up to 30k. They are very quiet have 5spd merc auto transmission in them and you can get a variety of rear interior options from seats to shelves and workbenches. Come with a variety of window options even windows in the rear roof. All in all they are pretty slick. Comes in 3 wheelbases, 2 roof heights and single or dual rear wheels. You will be seeing them at some dodge dealers within the next few months. Dodge quit making the Tradesman Van or is about to and is going to be replaced by the Sprinter. I talked with a local dodge dealer about the sprinter and he and a couple service people were getting ready to go to school for a few weeks to learn how to sell em and work on them. He also said that are going to be carrying a smaller version caled the Vito or something like that. Kind of like a caravan on steriods. If I recall the b10 life was 220k and the b50 life is supposed to be like 350k. Was told by freightliner that they have been in europe for many years with excellent results.

There not real expensive either. I think the dealer told me the window version with seats ran under $30K.

Wonder how long it takes the motorhome people to cut one up and put a plywood box on the back. Right now the only one you can get with a van type front in Diesel is the Ford Power smoke.

I have seen a Scotty built on a Dodge Ram frame with a Cummins in it, but there far and few between.

I did notice this drum of Delvac 1 synthetic in the dealership, I asked "what is this for?" they said it goes in all the sprinter motors.
