Lets face it Dodge Steering was designed by... ... ... ... ..... On my last Truck a 96 V10 I converted it to Cross Over Steering, so I finally did my 2002 with A Bullet Proof Steering Heim end kit. I no longer have any tie rod ends. They are all Heim ends. Now with my DSS and My DTT and my new steering box coming from Tom (old owner of AGR) I am done with my steering. I can tell you it handles like a Corvette. I can drive down the raod with my hands off for a long time. I took off my old system which had 73000 miles on it and it was already shot. I like doing things once. You can check out www.bulletproofsteering.com And Talk to Randy. Its not excactly a bolt on deal but close to it. One warning, once you install you cannot go back to stock. Ends have a lifetime guaranty.

Yes, let's see a few pictures! So tell me more, I've always heard that when you go away from regular tie rod ends and use hiem joints that you feel things through the steering wheel and that it's really harsh, is that true? Other than being tight now, are there any other differences? I like what I see so far and also like their pricing.

Monkeyman: I just finished the '03/'04 track bar upgrade, it helped but no cigar. I to am fed up with the steering on this truck. What exactly did you buy to do this uprate? Was this "#SS9403D60 STEERING SYSTEM 94-04 Dodge 3/4 & 1-ton pickup (dana 60) 4wd" the one? Will it work with a Mag-Hytec cover? Thanks.

Do you have the DSS brace on the steering box? SNOKING

Dodge Steering

I bought the Mag-Hytec cover but have not tried it yet. I sold my 1996 2500 V10 on e-bay that had my home made cross over steering on it. This truck has 10 inches of lift with 37" Tires. My 2002 has stock size tires and suspension, but had same junk steering system that all 1994-2002's have (not familiar with other years) I take tollway to work daily, sometimes I hit 100mph, I can change lanes without fear of truck doing what it wants. On highway I can steer with a finger if I wanted. Drag Link must be same angle or greater than track bar or you will get bump steer, over bumps I feel nothing. I just got steering box today and installing this weekend. All I plan to do is replace the DTT Heim end with ones I have on tie rod and drag link. Also to replace DTT Bushing end with Heim end. They have the same Race Ends that I have on my rods for that. They have a life time guaranty. The kit is made up of your measurements which have to be fairly acurate. Each kit is custom made. I will post pictures soon, weather and work if not been great.

Sorry for long post, Rick
