Dodge Steering Stabilizer

My 2015 2500 4x4 is just plain all over the road. It's been to the dealer 3 times so far with little results. I'm thinking of installing a steering stabilizer to get this truck to stay between the yellow and white lines. Can someone give me some input. I would like to know if the stabilizer will correct my wandering truck or am I just wasting my money? If so which brand is the best.

A steering stabilizer will not correct your issue,Check tires.alignment and play in steering

A steering stabilizer takes the shock of hitting something off road from transmitting as much to your hands. It will also help dampen a shimmy, but in this case it's just masking the true problem and the true problem needs to be addressed.

If the dealer isn't addressing the problem, get under your truck and have someone move the wheel side to side. Take a look specifically at the tracbar and other components for any play at all. After that, make sure the alignment/toe is within spec. Rotate your tires in case strange wear is causing an issue. Make sure air pressure is where it needs to be.

it is going back to the dealer, but as dodge customer service said " I think it's time to try another dealer" so I'm going to another dealer for the 4 th time to try and fix this crappy steering truck

My first thought was - you make it sound like there is no steering stabilizer on the truck. Well, I went outside and looked under my 2015 3500 and sure enough; no steering stabilizer. Must say I am surprised. My truck, however, tracks as good as any vehicle I've ever driven. Maybe someone here can explain how the RAM engineers deal with this.

I do agree that you would just be hiding the real problem by adding a stabilizer/damper. Rockauto.com does carry a MOPAR damper for our trucks and maybe that will help if you can't find a better solution.

My old 95 truck needed a new stabilizer every 75k miles and even then driving it was like playing PONG!

If you have an old-school alignment shop around, it may be worth your while to pay them a visit. A sharp front-end guy with a set of ancient turntables will beat a parts changer with a zillion dollar, computerized, laser-guided machine every time IMHO.

I was in error when I stated that my 2015 3500 did not have one. Just looked in the wrong place. Front end linkage is a bit different than on my '95 2500.

2015 3500, crew cab short box, 4wd, 18000mi-mostly towing. "death wobble" 4 times now, first time at approx 7500mi, always happen unloaded, cannot duplicate, scares the crap out of my wife and I. anyone know anything?
