I ordered my mega cab laramie fully loaded on february 22nd. They told me it would be in by end of march. Then it was shipped from factory may 15th. Then they told me it would be at dealer june 8th. Now they have changed it to june 22nd and im gonna be on vacation that entire week in florida. Sent a nasty email to dealer and it worked out for the best for me. Dodge is gonna put some stuff on my truck at no charge for me being so patient. They were gonna put a jake brake on it for me and I changed my mind. They are gonna put a SRT 10 HOOD and 4" TUBULAR CHROME STEPS BARS on it for me for free. They are gonna paint the hood and everything and install everything at no charge. The warranty on the paint they are gonna put on the hood is lifetime. Isnt that awesome!!!

On top of that, the dealer said since I wanted the truck before I went to florida because we were gonna drive down. He said I could come and pick up a Mega cab and take it to florida and back at no charge. But i think we are just gonna fly down. Looks like things are going my way now.

Good dealer. Enjoy your vacation.

I agree, and I bet the treatment you are receiving is 100% from the dealer, Dodge would not do something like that. Dodge feels that once the truck is built, it's not there problem that it can't get delivered. (I know, it took 18 weeks to get my 06)

I agree

I bought my last truck from them and my new mega thats coming and he treated me right both times. I think its cool how they are gonna do the hood and the step bars completely for free. He just called me back about 10 minutes ago and stated that he just ordered the hood and bars and they will be on the truck when I come to pick it up.

Dodge is payin for it or the dealership?? Are you sure they arent "giving"you those options cause they already have the truck on the lot?

You'd better stick with that dealer... they sound great!!! It was exaclty 6 months for me from the time I placed the order for my '06 Laramie 3500 4x4 before it arrived at the dealer... and after many phone calls, all they offered me to drive was a smoked in, ragged out neon that was out of gas until the truck got here... and I had to foot the cost for full coverage insurance on the neon too! Glad you got a good one...

EXACTLY they could care less, it's all dealer!

KO

Dealer vs. Dodge

Well, the manager told me that he has talked with his chrysler rep and that dodge is the one who is buying the hood and step bars. The dealership is gonna install the stuff and they are gonna pay to have the hood painted at their dealership. Dodge was gonna put a jake brake on it for free and I told the dealer that it would make me just as happy to have the srt hood and tube step bars on it. Plus the hood and step bars cost more all together once they paint it and stuff.

Dealer

The dealer is Brown Dodge out of Charlottesville Virginia. They are a awesome dealer with a huge facility. Both trucks they have taken good care of me.

LOL... tell them to ship the jake brake to my house :D I'll pay shipping :D

Jake

It would be nice to have a jake brake but i cant have it all. I would rather have the outside looking good and have my power upgrades on it before the braking enhancement comes.

You may need a good dealer after upgrades

Yea, I know. Hopefully all I can hope for is to have another truck like my last one. It was a 2002 2500 and it went 4 years and hardly had any problems. The only problem I had was on the third year, I had to replace the fuel pump and one of my fuel lines cracked later on in that same year. Then, I sold the truck and after two weeks of selling it, the computer fried on the guy. He had to put a new computer in it but at least he wasnt mad. All i can hope for is that this truck is as good to me as my last.
