Oregon Is About To Explode

I had a BLAST!!! this weekend....literally :)

I have a '98 Stratus ES as a third car, and am getting ready to sell it. When I took it for a ride tonight, the rear brakes were rusted together (it has been sitting all winter, in the snow). The tires dragged for a foot or so, then broke loose. I made a few hard stops to get the rest of the rust off the pads, etc. Everything now seems to be fine except the ABS light is on constantly. (Brakes do not seem to be dragging, etc. ).

Does anybody know of a possible cause and a quick fix that I should look into? I don't know anything about ABS sensors and what can go wrong with them (or is something else happening, causing the light to come on)?

On some vehicles the ABS doesn't work until above 35 mph but I don't know about the Dodge. Just dragging the wheel a short distance might set off the light. Try cycling the ign. switch on, off three times leaving on the third time. this reset the light on my vehicle. Otherwise the sensors on the wheels is detecting a gear like ring behind the brakes, might just be rust on the sensors? bg

It's been a few week since I've had a chance to look at it, but the problem is now solved, via TDR.

In another post I recently read, someone mentioned the fuse (how simple). Checked it out - sure enough, it was bad. Replaced and good-to-go! Car is ready to sell.

Thanks.
