I already have the solidsteel trackbar bracket and '03 & up trackbar. Will the addition of the DSS make any more improvement than I already got from the trackbar?

Don't know. Does your steering box shaft have any lateral play in it? If so, then yes, the DSS will help. If no, then the DSS will prevent it from happening. So you can look at it as either preventative or corrective.

Best answer I can give is that "it depends". I've done both to my truck and noticed the most change when I installed the 3rd gen trackbar. Reduced the steering play from 4 to 6 in by about 1/2. When I did the DSS install it reduced the play from 2 to 3 inches to about 1/2.

Take a close look at the steering shaft as it connects to the pitman arm under the truck while some one trys to turn the wheel. If you notice any movement then the DSS should help if you don't notice any movement then you will probably see less improvement. From what I remember, the play in the shaft should be less than 50 thousandths.

Look at this link for a more complete/accurate discussion of my results.
