How many folks here are complaining about the lift pump and all the variuos problems with the Cummins and injections systems. There isn't a day goes by that I read more and more crap about the 24V problems. You don't find that with the folks with the sprinters... and darn that engine is quiet and powerful. Not to mention the Transmission has had fewer problems than the dodge transmission that you have to build up to make it work properly.
Obviously you have never looked at a frieghtliner or Dodge dealership that works on sprinters have you... . Got bad news for you those sprinters have more engine problems than you can shake a stick at...

Are you a dealer? My outfit just bought a dozen Sterling mediums (don't know model) and had no other choice but to get MB900's- I would have prefered a C 8. 3 in it's place.
If I were a fleet buyer I would believe the company webstie before I believe you- unless you have proof.

I think "vertical intergration" has more meaning than what you might think. With the advent of the present and next Heavy duty emmission tiers, powertrains have become so complicated with exhaust aftertreatment and added cooling concerns that OEM's have no choice but to narrow down the options. Assembly lines would be too complicated.
I am going to think twice before I buy a MB product.
Do you remember that MB diesel truck in Raiders of the Lost Arc? Indiana Jones broke that cheap hood ornament right off when he was climbing onto the hood!
