Well the body shop just called me and Dodgezilla

is ready!! Only took them 5 weeks to fix it!! So I have 3 very long hours to wait before I can drive my truck!!!:( I'm stuck at work They asked if I wanted them to put the bed liner back in, I asked why was it out they said that they painted the inside of the bed because the bedliner ***** threw the paint!! I told them to leave it out I'll pick it up next week.

I need to get the spay on or roll on liner which is the best and where can I get it??

thanks

Adam;

Dang man, that's a looooooooooooong time to be without the Cummins! I have a Line-X on mine and I love it. The texture is smaller granules of rubber and it made a nice hard, non-rubbery surface. The only time it got cut was when a Riding lawnmower with a freshly sharpened blade slid down the tailgate (ouch!) The other popular spray-on bedliner is Rinoliner, it has larger granules and produces a slightly softer surface with alot of grip, but it gets torn easier. From what I've heard and seen the installer of the spray-on has alot to do with the quality of the finished liner. Both companies have websites and the Line-X at least has a list of dealers.

Good luck, Josiah

Thanks I'll check both web sites.

5 weeks with out my cummins and I've been driving

the rent-a-car an Olds Aurora I've put over 3,300

miles on it, I was the first driver:D My truck is going to feel Gigantic :D :D I can't wait any longer I'm leaving in 10 mins.

wish me luck I hope the truck drives as well as it did before... :(

thanks

Adam, When you finally get out of that Dodge, and after 5 1/2 weeks that may be awhile, post and let us know how it came out. Good Luck Gunny

Adam,

Glad you're getting your rig back - that must have been a bummer.

As to the liners, Josiah's post is right on. I have the Rhino in mine and my PowerChoke buddy has the Line-X. My Rhino is definitely softer and "stickier" than his, which I like. Some people say the Rhino will fade in the sun quicker. I've had mine on since the truck was new last October (truck is outside all the time), and it's not quite as glossy as it was at first, but it looks okay. It's a black liner in a black truck, so if it fades, I'll sure notice it, but hot soapy water seems to keep it in tolerable condition.

One little tip: when you have them spray it on - be very specific how far over the bed rails you want the liner to wrap. Mine comes down about 3/4 of an inch below the flat top of the bed rail. My installer did a fabulous job of getting a nice even, straight line. I've heard others say they weren't so lucky. Maybe if you show interest in that detail before the job, the installer will work harder at it.

I figure someday my underside will be all beat and scratched up from working around the farm and hunting trips. Instead of repainting, maybe I'll just have them spray Rhino all the way around from the trim piece on down. That should last another 10 years!

5 weeks???? I can't imagine, mine was in for 2 weeks, and I was ready to go buy a backup truck just incase it ever happened again. (Damn why did I get married, she never lets me do anything I want anymore)

Mine is going back in on Tuesday... They didn't get it right the fiirst time (bumper and bumper trim fits like dog doo).

Adam,

Have i got an idea for your next mod. I am selling my 89ctd :( after 12 years of great service. and i am also in calif My neighbor is probably going to buy it(i think he might be trying to get back at me for all the noise it has made for all of these years:rolleyes: )

but seriously he doesn't want the personalized plate which is

"DGEZILA":D

i wonder if the department of money vultures (dmv) can allow us to do something. give them a call and check it out if interested

I was going to put it on my 01 but it has a different personality

glad you got it back and you are lucky it is white and it should match perfectly.

Best regards
