I drilled mine for my boost guage, but it has been problematic to keep airtight. I want to use the existing plug on the drivers side of the block for the boost like some of you have done, and I would rather replace the intake horn then put a plug in it. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, look at the photo in the first post to this topic https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum3/HTML/002559.html That part that says "Banks high ram" on it replaces the factory part I am looking for. If you want to upgrade to the Banks, or already have, and have not tossed the OEM horn, email me or post here. Thanks

<font color=blue>Why not replace it with the Banks type yourself? Rob said it was only $250? I am sure a new OEM one is at least that much #ad
I drilled mine so even if I did upgrade myself mine is useless to you #ad

Just curious... .

Believe it or not a new one is only $60 from Cummins, heard that here so it must be true.

If fouled up threads are causing the leak why not drill and tap to the next size up and use a brass bushing with antiseize?

Kat,I think you may need more than just the horn to install a Twin Ram,if my memory still works it's more like $850 for the entire setup.

I agree, why go thru the trouble, hassle?? to replace. Drill and tap to next size pipe thread and bush it or better yet get the nipple for that size thread / hose??

The twin ram intake is only made for the 12 valve. The type I have is for the 24 valve. I have no idea what the twin ram does as far as power/etc increases, but I would say mine is no appreciable difference. Looks only, and not for everyone. Personally, I am glad I bought it!
