I have been having problems with the factory radio jumping bands, stopping etc for the last year. One reflash and it fixed the delayed stopping time to jumping bands, or stopping/not working for 3-5 seconds etc.this is the basic factory radio.

The wife has similar issues with the same radio in her jeep.

Does anyone here have these issues?

TIA. Ed

I've had repeated glitches with mine. Disconnecting the batteries fixes the issues but the annoyances usually return.

My truck is a 3rd gen so this may be irrelevant but my factory radio would quit working on occasion. All the controls would work, just no sound. This went on for months until I finally noticed the truck was turning over a little slow. I replaced both of the batteries and I haven't had a problem with the radio since. In my case the radio was the proverbial "canary in the coal mine".

There was a TSB a few years back about the trim ring around the radio display having un-trimmed mold stubs that would hit the touch screen and cause strange issues....

It's the usb port in the console. Do a search, there should be several posts about it a few years ago.

Sag2, they just changed the USB port and same issue.Hit a bump, radio jumps bands or stops for a few seconds...

OK, steering wheel buttons or wiring? I would still pull the radio out enough to unplug the remote USB cable and see if it stops.
