Thats because you have a 99 year model. On the newer trucks 01. 5 and up there are yellow "Void" stickers on the connection now at the injection pump.



So yes the Puck plugs into the same place as the VA it seems.
 
I've plugged several into 01s and have yet had to break the sticker. If you are careful, spray it down with a little WD-40 and you can peel one edge off, leave it connected, but off the plug so you can get in there. I even had one that was never touched and I was able to peel it back with no trouble at all. It wasn't stuck real well from the factory.

I also purchased mine from Bob Riley and am very happy. I tow an 8,000 lb boat and could not maintain overdrive on interstate overpasses. With the puck no problem holding overdrive. I do take it easy on the go pedal with the auto trans but forsee no problems
