Does anyone know of a good travel website?

We are planning a minivan (hotel) trip this summer from Portland, OR to Southern Utah (Zion, Bryce Canyon, etc), thru Vegas to Death Valley, Yosemite and Sequoia and maybe hitting Grand Canyon while in Southern Utah. Will probably take 5 or 6 days off from work for a total 9 or 10 days off.



Myself, spouse and two kids (ages 6 and 4). We have done up to 600 miles/day with them, but that is the max...



Anyone know of a good website to help planning with hotels, routes, etc? I was thinking AAA.

Sounds like a nice trip. Uhhh, did you really mean hit the Grand Canyon while in southern Utah? It's in Arizona. Maybe you meant from UT.

If I'm not pulling my trailer, which only occurs when I'm pulling trailers commercially, I use the Motel 6 website also.

As anyone who has ever visited one knows, Motel 6 does not offer the finest lodging available, but my female German Shepherd, Gertrude, goes everywhere I go. Motel 6s are pet friendly, no hassles, no extra charges, and they are cheaper than all the other chains and adequate. Gertrude and I have stayed in so many Motel 6s she recognizes the signs and knows where we are going. She's been in probably 100 Motel 6 lobbies and knows that many of them have treats on the counter. If I get a room with two beds, she knows one is hers. She waits to see which one I claim then she takes the other one.

ps - yes I know the GC is in NW Arizona (which is kinda near SW Utah... )



We will use this trip to see the sights and scout out some good campgrounds for a future trip with the 5er and Big Dodge...
