No Cat on 24v. Don't know why it should be a warranty issue. Never heard of a problem with modified exhaust/warranty issues.

On a 98. 5 and above, why would the State or Feds care what you do to the exhaust system? There is no cat to worry about. Here in Louisiana, they dont check exhaust emissions on diesels. Electronic controlled diesel engines dont qualify!

BUT you might fail the noise abatement program.

Just sharing info... it's in the back of your owners manual.

Hey Joesoot, I wasnt trying to be smart or rude. I was just laying out the facts from the state that I live in.

I have checked my owners manual. It says that I cant mess with anything between exhaust manifold and the cat on the trucks exhaust pipes. I dont have a cat. :D Thank gosh!

The owners manual also says that I have an eight year or 80000 mile warranty for the catalytic converter (like I said I dont have one) and the PCM.

It seems to me that other than what it stated in the manual, you are on your own past the CAT. We dont have CAT'S on the 24v engine's. :D
