Does Goerend return e-mails?

I send Goerend an e-mail on Monday 12/18, using the address on their web site (goerend_bros@iowatelecom.net). Now, on the afternoon of the 21st, I still have not heard back from them.



I'm sure many will say to call, but that's not something I can easily do while I'm at work, which is why I often communicate by e-mail (personal calls are frowned upon here, and we're not supposed to have cell phones on the premises for security reasons).



Does he reply to e-mails? Does anyone know if the company is on vacation? (and auto reply would be nice)

He does reply to e-mails. I think he is still on dialup, so that may be part of the delay. Not sure about Christmas at all. Doesn't always get back to you right away. Calling is the best way to get a hold of Dave. As far as I could tell when I was up there, he is the only one that answers the phone.

He does return emails. But it can take a couple of days.

He will return an email, he personally returns the emails if they are transmission questions. He also works on them too. So it may take a few days to hear form him, if it is an emergency then then call him.

I waited a few days before I recieved a response from Dave..... and it was one of the longest emails I've ever recieved. I printed it out, showed it to my local trans guy. He said Dave obviously knows his stuff...

I was about to give up on him and explore the other options.



Unfortunately, like I mentioned, calling from work is very difficult. Personal calls are heavily frowned upon, and we're not supposed to bring cell phones into work (it's a high-security company). That's why I like companies who can communicate via e-mail.



Fortunately, I took the 2nd through the 5th off work, so I should be able to call him during that week.



By the way, the other reason I like to communicate via e-mail is that it gives me more time to digest what is being communicated. Over the phone, I may miss something, and then I may not fully understand what was said, whereas I can reread e-mails over and over (and I do). And since I know very little about torque converters and A/Ts, I need to understand all I can!

I can second that notion of the car being lent to you. Oo.



Dave did my trans. I was in a arm sling at the time. He gave me his suburban to go to town to spend the night. We had breakfast the next day while chatting what I wanted done on my truck. Dave takes a lot of time to ask what you need, where you want to go in HP/TQ, & will only install what you need. :--)

You won't find a nicer man to do business with.

That was the address I used back on 12/18. I sent him another e-mail this morning, so we'll see.
