Does Mercedes Benz still make a Diesel?

I was wondering if Mercedes still put a diesel engine in any of their passenger cars. I've looked all over their website and can't find any info on a MB Diesel.



Does anyone know anything about these motors, past or present, or where I can get some information on the Mercedes diesel?



If they don't make them anymore, when did they stop? Just need some general info.

Last I knew no diesel imports to US, however, that may be changing if it hasn't already. Most MB dealers are pretty knowledgeable, believe it or not. Ask 'em.

hold your horses on that one!... one of the lastest issues of european car had the us spec diesel tested its available for 2004 model year let me go and find the info, they even did a cross country trip / test with one..... i have also noticed the western star and freightliners big trucks have been specing mercedes diesels also. .

I asked the other day when the wife was checking out the wagons, the dealer said the diesel should be back next year but only in the E-class sedan. Unfortunately, it won't be available in the wagon so I didn't ask anymore specifics.
