Does the Potential "Banko" of Chrysler change your mind about buying

i was told by a cummins mechanic (actually the boss in their power gen. division to here him tell it) that they will and do work on dodge trucks on waranty, has any one tryed this, this guy worked at cummins nw in portland or

I wouldn't count on it unless drastic changes occur. I don't think Cummins has anything to do with the warranty provided on our Rams unless possibly through an agreement behind the scenes with Chrysler which has no bearing on Dodge Ram customer repairs. I have heard (read) of a couple of individuals who claimed they were able to have engine work done by Cummins under Dodge warranty but I think that was with permission in advance from Chrysler/Dodge/STAR and only when a Dodge dealer was not able to repair a problem or there was no authorized Dodge dealer in the customer's area.
