Long 5th Wheel Experience

Going to get a Prodigy brake controller. If I buy the Dodge specific cable, will it plug right into the truck's harness, without any wire splicing/soldering? (Does it eliminate the need for the pigtail I got with the trailer package)?

Did they get the wiring correct? (Is there still a problem with the color codes in the newer trucks)?

I bought exactly what you're talking about for mine and it's a plug in install. No splicing of any wires just plug in and go and leave the pigtail in the glovebox. I had no wiring issues with mine it just works perfect and I like the clean, professional wiring harness without butt connectors, solder, etc.

Trying to find a part number...

On Tekonsha's website, they list two different numbers for '96-'03 Dodges. There is p/n 3020, and #3020-P. The only difference shown is, the 3020-P has (Clam Shell) following the description.

Does anybody know what the difference is, and which style I may need? I'll probably end-up taking the Dodge pigtail in to match, but hoping somebody here has further input.

Thanks!
