Stacey David left Trucks, for those who don't already know. Whatever your opinion of Stacey was, do you think the show is better now with the new guys?

I think it really stinks now. Seems to be all about "bling" and things like "cold air intake kits" - no real substance.

And that big bald dude is incredibly annoying.

it sucks now the one with the jeep was a joke the took a rubicon stock tires and wheels off and put on procomps AT

at that point I changed the channel

I opined on the subject here:

Its too quiet in here fellas. .

Though not necessarily competition related, they used to do some performance stuff for diesels and this looked like a good place to rant. Trucks TV...

I got to watch trucks TV with the new goobers on it for the first time this weekend. I never thought I'd say this, but Stacy is actually king of cool compared to these guys.

First off, the bald headed guy could really use a few less testosterone pills with his Wheaties in the morning. Some schitzo WWE reject as an alter ego turn wrench head. I half expected him to break into a slim jim commercial at any moment! "Snap into a slim jim! OOOH YEAH!!" Dork. Mark my words, some time this season he'll drop a wrench and tear off that T-shirt in a fit of rage.

And what have we to say for his metrosexual side kick?? Oh. My. Gosh. Any one wanna guess how many times he's been to see Broke Back Mtn? I'm outta fingers. Its gotta be double digits. If they ever go on a four wheelin trip where there's an over nite stay in the mix, I'm changin the channel right then and there and writing my Congressman. When they were buffing out that hood, did any one recall him asking Hulk Hogan jr. to "Hit me with it. " Referring to the detail spray. Ooor was he? I can't make this up. He ever shows us how to knit one of those Microfiber towels, its one small step for man, one giant leap out of the closet.

The power blocks endin early here in the Yoder house fellas. Will and Grace wudn't meant to spin wrenches on trucks! I used to crack jokes about Stacy David and his "you can do this, its sooo cool. " lines. Beatin the crap out of other peoples trucks in his two-sizes-too-small wranglers. No more. These guys make him look like the Fonz of the new mellinium. Bring him back! I just hope they keep the cameras rolling when Hulk jr. o. d. 's on his testosterone cocktail and cant take any more of his colleagues flitting about the shop and clobbers him in a fit of indescribable rage scattering home made "microfiber towels" everywhere. Them deep fibers soak up blood good, do they?

"And next week on trucks, meet the new hosts... Sleddy and Comp as they build the worlds fastest diesel pullin' truck!" Hey, if they got these goobers on tv, ours-truly surely got a shot. Go get em boys! Now that'd be good TV. :-{}

Rant off.

I concur. It sucketh.

the first episode sucked so bad i went looking and found this http://www.staceydavid.com/ can't wait to see the pay off on sgt rock and harry hauler, i've seen every show at least once and it was better back when it still had that goofy guy working with stacey, if nothing else i can get going a half hour earlyer on sundays :-laf

I've watched it once since they trashed that great old International to make a cute little hot rod. I turned it off after about ten minutes. Never watched since.

Those guys have no clue what so ever what a truck is. Ought to drag them and the whole set a few miles down the road behind a Pete.

well, i don't think it totally sucks, but it isn't better than the older ones. . so my vote goes for no it doesn't suck. . plus, when i watch it off the pvr i just buzz through the filler and get to the ads quicker ;)

If that girl ( long blond who does the introduction ) was in some crotchless 'daisy dukes' and a bikini bra, I'd bet our 'suck vote' would contain a caveat. I'd like to see her use a tool.

Never cared for it. Always seemed to me that it was a show for the one with bottomless pockets and never did anything that the average joe would do. Would be great to see a show that catered to justa bout anyone and realistic things they could do to their vehicles. How many people do you know that are out there rebuilding trucks from the frame up and can use those high dollar gadgets and gizmos? I really never saw anything that I could benefit from just entertainment fluff.

:-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf That was one of the funniest things I've read in awhile, and it hit the nail right on the head about the 2 new dorks. Don't get me wrong - I think Stacey was a dork too, but these guys are the very definition of "goober". Seriously, go look up goober in the dictionary, there's a picture of that bald dude.

I thought the show was worth 30 minutes (20 minutes with the DVR) of my time when Stacey was hosting. It's not worth my time anymore.

-Ryan

The new format is a rehash of "Trucks" first couple years; when Stacey shared host duties with that Mel Far (sp) idiot... all fluff and no substance.

PS That metosexual guy needs to go back to HGTV & spend his time restoring old stuff & the other guy needs to go back to whatever wrestling show he escaped from.

What ever happened to that "other guy" anyway?

For you guys that want a more practical show, try "Weekend Mechanic" on DIY. Hosted by a guy named Bruce Bonebrake. Does real repair work on real cars, and I've found it to be more valuable than any other automotive show (including "Two Guys Garage" and "Shadetree Mechanic").

I do think the show went down hill in a real big hurry.

So, what's with the Jesse Ventura wannabes on Trucks! and that new MuscleCars show? Who is in charge of Spike TV's casting anyway? These shows are bad (in the original sense of the word. ) #@$%!

Rusty

I think TRUCKS! has definately gone down hill. While my Mom would make fun of Stacey for wearing gloves and having a name such as Stacey, I always thought he was pretty cool and funny. These new guys blow. The bald one has a face made for radio and voice for neither tv nor radio. The other guy acts like a wimpering puppy.

I think that new MuscleCar show w/the other bald dude isnt bad though. They show alot more stuff and they know what they are doing. Courtney Hansen used to be on that show w/Chip Foose, my dad and I truly missed her when she left, but at least shes back. By the way, the girl they got to replace her on Chip's show is absolutely horrible!

Stacey would do real metalworking and stuff. He could actually make all of his own stuff, not just buy parts and stick them on. Trucks is dumb now, and EXTREME 4x4 is just retarded. Both of them are just tools. Heck, they dont even know which way to put Boggers on.

Edit: And at least Stacey would spend some time each show to talk about big rig engines and suspension with that instructor from Wyotech or whatever
