If and when I build a garage I will make sure it fits. But so far mines an outside truck. Just starting to grow its winter fur for these cold Canadian winters... . :D

My wife tells me that we are now a true farm because the outbuildings are bigger than the house. I started out with a three stall 24x36 garage which wasn't big enough to store everything and leave room to work so we added a 24x48 wing to the existing garage and turned the old one into a workshop with paint bay. Nice to have the room but it fills up fast!!

Well I haven't tried yet, my jeeps keep getting in there before the Dodge can have a shot. I know I can get the hood open while the front end is inside.

I got so much junk in my garage, I can't even consider getting it in. And if I did, it would be about 6inches too long to shut the door.

How about a firestation. 6 truck garage downstairs and living quarters upstairs.

That sounds like it might work for me:D ,

But I bet wifey would have a different opinion:rolleyes:

One more configuration...

Double car garage with single big door.

We have a freeze and spare refer back to back on one side of the garage(toward the rear) and a washing machine on the rear wall on the right half.

Car goes in on the right( passenger gets out first) and hugs the cool ones.

The truck is backed in and hugs the outside wall.

Again, passenger has to get out first. (Both can park it this way). Mirror right now is less than 2 inches from the wall.

We are cautious when we open the doors but 98 percent of the time they'll fully open without touching the other vehicle.

Maybe inconvenient for the passenger at times but at least they're both out of the weather.

When Uncle Sam moved me and family to SE MN we couldn't find a house to buy that met our needs. We decied to have one built. I intentionally stretched the depth of the garage to 24' to accomodate the truck. The door was a standard height, probably 6'-8", and I had a couple of inches vertically. If I had a 265 tire I may not have have made it. Next time I'll have a taller door if I have any say in the matter.

It won't fit now, I upped the tire size and I am not gonna try garages anymore.
