Probably depends on where you live and how well you know your neighbors. Our country community is fairly tight with most of us helping each other out during brush fires, lost animals and such. I would hope that during a major event we would all stand up together like we do now.



Still though the fire arms and ammo are kept ready. Sure hopes it never comes to that.

I agree with Greg. A city where people don't really know each other will always be a mess. When you live out in the sticks like we do you know all your neigbors In the event of a real emergency everybody pulls together (even ones who don't normally get along) until the crisis is over. If there is a severe earthquake around here we all check to make sure everybody on our road is ok.
