Summer's Definitely Over

Duramax vs Cummins vid

Got some of my Border Collie search dog on CD--can you tell me easy way to get them in this forum?

Dave,

The preferred method is to send me the BC, I'll take some pics, and I'll post the pics.

I'm sure the BC will be plumb happy here. ;) :-laf

Actually you will need to put the pics on the hard drive, resize to 520x460, and 110K (or something like that) with a image editor. It will reject them if it is the wrong size or to big - drives me nuts. Use the "manage attachments" to navigate to the place on the hard drive and upload.

Ol'TrailDog...

Well if you are up in the high country maybe you can get some woolies for her to herd--otherwise she will just bug you until you give her a job.

Thanks for the info--got em on the hard drive, I sent them to myself to check, and it took 15 mins to download. I'll try the manage attachments.

Dave,

You are right about BCs needing a job. That's why they have back packs on in the Bog Marshes pictures. What I have for work is the 52 head of horses and mules here for summer work, my bike (which has proven disasterous on occasion  ), and during the winter its my skis to 'herd'.

Starr is hard wired to work and I have to control where, when, and That'll DO! Rocs Ayn is a shelter rescue from Sheridan WY and apparently was just a pet. Mostly she is monkey see-monkey do with Starr.

I've back off on the horses and mules after Starr got nailed several times. Some of the mules are definately dog killers and just bide their time for the right opportunity. Since their main job is keeping me company at home and in the mountains. I just let them have a taste of working the stock. The good thing about stock dogs is if they have the horses and mules around, i. e. "their job", they leave the elk, moose, and deer alone. Bears are fair game (G&F note: I was just kidding ;) :-laf ) Now that we have wolves I have to be attentive on their whereabouts

We just had to put my 13 yr old Newfoundland down. My wife says no more dogs, she doesn't want to go through that pain again. But, I do love my Newfs.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Give it time. The joy of a great dog over time outweighs the grief and pain of losing one. Went through that earlier this year with our lab. We waited a few months until "the time was right" and got a new puppy. It's a good thing.

I just put a deposit on a new Rottweiler pup that's just a week old today. We're pretty excited about getting a dog again. It's been about a year and a half since we put down our old Rott, but I was building our house and getting a puppy in the middle of all that didn't make sense. Then I didn't want to get a dog with only dirt and mud around the house, so we needed to wait to get the grass growing.

Mini Dachshund

Here's a pic of our guard dog Sadie :-laf She weighs only 8 lbs. but thinks she can take on the world :-laf She starts barking any time she hears a Cummins... that's my girl ;)

BRatby I really enjoy my buddy's Rotweiler, Ubu. I'm not into big dogs but Ubu thinks he's a big lap puppy. Just loves to be hugged and petted.

Here's my two little rascals, Coco and Toby. Coco is full Pom, Toby is half pom with a little Dacshund and Chihuahua. They're ready to take a spin in the Cougar. 2nd pic is how they join me on bike rides. They're spoil't!!

Here's my dog. Bought him a little while back. he's 11wks today. The pictures on the bed are from when I had just brought him home, and the one on the cement is at 7 or 8 weeks, I can't recall.

Here is a picture of my Alaskan Malamute.
