Timing on a gasser?

Get him/her the Pen that went to the MOON!

I have heard and am currently experimenting with feeding my daughters female boxer yogurt. It is supposed to change the chemistry of the urine. Only female dog urine will harm the grass.

There are pills that you can put in their food to make it less acidic or base or whatever. I had three females at once... and no yard! I've seen the pills in specialty pet catalogs, but can't remember which ones. Probably can pick them up at a good pet store.

A very well accepted myth. It does not depend on the sex of the animal only the way they pee. I have a male boxer that squats, turns the grass brown after only a few days. I tried the pills to no avail. Your best bet is to train the dog to go where you want it.

I have a female Blue Heeler and I have no dead spots in my yard. Granted, it is a big yard at 3 acres but not so big I would miss brown spots amongst the greenery. ANd yes,, she squats when she pees... .

What we have is a 5 month old male Beagle. He squats... and everywhere he goes, the grass is brown. I read last night that dumping a 1/2 gallon of water on the spot right after he goes will take care of the grass...

Well, I think this is one that we should send in to Mythbusters. I have 2 female beagles and have never seen a brown spot where they pee. If it weren't for them leaving piles, I'd never know they did their business.

My parents have a female lab and used to have :{ a male lab. Never seen brown spots in their yard either.

Maybe it depends on the grass? I have bermuda (about the only thing known to kill it is Roundup) but my parents have fescue.

Just a suggestion based on our experience. We had to put down our 6-1/2 year old male tri-color Sheltie on February 28th after a 2+ year battle with a genetic kidney disease. If a dog has kidney problems, its urine will typically be extremely high in proteins, salts, etc. - we even found crystals where Bandit had urinated. His urine would kill grass better than a herbicide!

My point - if this is a real problem, you might want to have the vet check the dog's urine the next time he/she is in for an exam. Even the doctors at Texas A&M couldn't help Bandit, but this check might just save your dog's life.

No Wife for me... . I'm still good!

I try to use it like round-up!

My roommates King Charles Cavalier Spaniel nor my Mutt (donno what he is) leave dead spots.

But I'm convinced that if I killed the Crabgrass in my yard..... I wouldn't have a yard. :-laf

Anyone know how to plant crabgras? Heck it comes in Thick and full and it looks like the brighter color of a golf course! :-laf

How About the "Lav-a-Tree?" :-laf  :-laf My wife is upset with the Moose pee out by the shed!

Tourqe, Don't you have the same problem with TTMT?

Found out what might have caused the browning. The dog was put on a medication for worms. The browning happened the days he was on the medicine, and a few days after. Nothing happening now the last few days. He goes back on it in 3 weeks, the last treatment. Hopefully this is what the cause is...

I've have/had three border collie ******* that are leg lifters. No dead grass. I've always wondered if they have a jolt more alpha or feral in them then most breeds since the herding instinct is the hunting instinct slightly modified.
