Dometic freezer door help

I broke the freezer door on a RM2553 refrigerator. I tried to glue the hinge end back together but it wont hold, new one on its way for $110. 00.



How do I install the door? It is spring loaded so it stays closed. Somehow I need to preload the springs on the hinges so it stays closed. Every time I tried to put the old door on it would spring open. I played with it until it broke again and is beyond repair. Thanks for any help... . GH

Call Dometic. A hinge on my older model broke and they had a repair kit for less than $20. Mine was just short of $400 by time I paid overnight shipping and all.

It seemed that it was a common problem that no dealer would admitt to - I guess to sell you a new door.
