Uh, I think Robyn is a guy. I think it was him that I met at MM??? He seemed like a level-headed person, but now I don't know. I too e-mailed him and got a fairly nice reply, but never the less, Don is still banned. This is a loss.

I disagree with Steve on "how hard" it is to get the strikes. I am already on strike two and it didn't take much. IMO they are too heavy handed. :(

So you noticed it also! Guess some folks need a place to learn how to change the air in their tires. If they don't want controversy perhaps they should just read their owners manual. Seems like a lot of the questions folks ask here nowadays are answered there if the person just takes the time to read it.

I agree 100%. I've subscribed to TDR since probably '98' and have seen quit a few changes, most for the better. I saw nothing wrong with Don's last post or the previous one. Don simply asked straight forward questions. He kept asking them because he never got straight answers. I'm in industrial sales and there are 2 basic kinds of sales people in this business, sales engineers that know the answers or can find them. They can produce independent documentation and test results to back up their statements. They don't exagerate. Then there are the good ol' boys that will tell you what ever they think will make a sale and when pressed for "proof", ignore the request, change the subject, or turn it around and say you are attacking them and their product.

illflem,

I think you nailed that one on the head... I haven’t learned anything on here in months; the people that are doing the testing and research on these trucks are so far ahead of the TDR curve now that it is scary. It didn't used to be like to be like this, I wasn’t here in the beginning but I've been around long enough to se it going down hill at an alarming rate. The average intelligence of the TDR has become just that, average! What I am writing now is partly how I feel about the problem with Don but most of it is not new, I have discussed this several times with our local members/friends here in Tulsa.

To put it in Joe D's words,

The membership on TDR is becoming to "young".

Since I have returned from Munice, I have learned to keep my mouth shut about most things. Sorry for being a PITA before, when i would post at will, now I don't post as much, and notice how dumb it is to do so, maybe some others will follow suit, and the TDR will be for the old stiffs again.

I don't know about too young, I have no problem with that, but many times it seems too immature. Seems like we used to try to keep the smoke down, put the power on the ground instead of unburnt in the air. Now it seems like a smoking rig is something to be proud of.

This is still the best CTD site especally since the ignore selected members feature was added. I've thought that if folks didn't like Don M's posts all they had to do is add him to their ignore list.

I'm 36 years old. Please, let me know if I am not old enough to be here. I certainly don't want to offend the "rightful" members of this site.

I joined because I saw a certain camaraderie (sp) and wealth of knowledge on this website. I'm not a big-buck "mad BOMBer", but I like my truck and have gained useful knowledge here. I won't be pulling sleds or turning a 12 sec quarter, but I like to share what I do know with those who ask. Excuse me for not being the absolute expert, but who is. I am always learning, not just about my truck, but everything.

UNCLE!! I've had enough. Steve, please put the pad-lock on this one.

Speaking of old. Some of you guys must be REALLY old. I'm 42 and I feel like I must be 20 or 30 years younger than the average person here;) because you know, them young pups like a little controversy and them old guys, they just don’t have it in'em anymore.

OK, OK, I'll get over it

I APOLOGIZE FOR PUTTING FUEL ON THE FIRE.

I'll be good, BUT you guys have to consider, without the radicals, the site could get a little slower (which may be good for you real old guys):p

On another note I'd like to say,for a little CLASS, you need look no further than POWERWAGON. This guy knows what to say, when to say it and who to say it to. He sticks to the facts, helps everyone, is usually right (or maybe left);) Thanks for the wakeup PW, This is a quality not many people have and I beleive this site non the worse for it.

You met Robert Patton in Vegas.

Robin is his wife. Shes is the one that does most all of the emailing and website "stuff", I believe Robert is occupied mainly with the magazine itself.
