Well, I got it installed today. An easy job if you have a pickle-fork (It wouldn't shock out). The only PITA was getting the proper length adjustment.

The unit is well constructed (stout) and the ball end is unique in its design. I'd prefer to have a sleeve adjustment but that would just be a convenience.

The suspension is now smoother with the axle centered. It's amazing what a little correct geometry will do. :-laf

The unit is spendy but I needed the adjustability. The stock one I pulled out had 99k on it and still had life left. I just wanted to center myself after the d25 springs I installed last year. Better late than never!

Thanks to Don for a well designed replacement for a stock part. Mike

I put Don's bar on this spring and love it.

It is a PITA to get the correct length. Trial & error. An adjusting sleeve would have been nice.

I couldn't believe how much nicer the truck steered with the axle centered. You are right on when you say the proper geometry makes a difference.

Don's bar is actually cheaper than the other adjustable T- Bars. Don said they don't come painted to save $$. Mine arrived nicely painted.

Mike, I drove with an off-centered axle for 8 years. :D

A strong buy.

Shouldn't be too hard to adjust it. Center the truck on the axle, adjust the track bar until the bolt hole lines to the axle and there you go... I think?

I bought one... sitting on the kitchen table right now though, haven't had a chance to install it yet.

Im waiting for mine :( Don got married today and is bound for a cruise ship he hopes to put a batch together and ship the first week of october :)

Nate,

Did your bar come painted? You have the newest one.

You may get lucky when trying to get the correct length on the bar. Even when you have the axle end lined up with the bolt hole, there is no room to spin the bar to increase or decrease length. With the frame end in, it's the same story. It's a very minor thing. No big deal at all.

Here my write-up from the spring w/ pics:

sounds like a plan then. I know the dt wont clear (at least it didn't last time i looked in to it) Who sells them? anybody got any pictures?

Don sells them himself. He has a web site but I don't recall I also miss placed his ph #. I ordered mine this past friday. He got married sat and is on a cruise ship, and wont be back for another week.

He is also completely out of stock. I don't expect mine untill the second week of october.

He will ask that you take a spray can cover and place it over the joint in fron of the differential with the drivers tire elevated 6 inches and see if it hits the mag cover. If it does, then it wont fit.

I got mine installed over the weekend. Wasn't too bad, I see what you guys were saying with adjusting it.

I think the hardest part was getting the body centered on the axle. I'm not sure I got it 100% right. The tire stick out to fender measurement is about right, but the sway bar links do / / to a degree. With no trackbar in place, the swaybars went straight, but then the driver's side tire would stick out a bunch compared to the passenger's side.

The sway bar is most likely not centered any longer. Just disconnect the links or loosen the support bolts and move it over to get the links straight. It will do this by itself in time, but you can speed the process spending 10 minutes under the truck.

Don makes one that is for the trucks with the lift kit. I don't think there would be enough adjustability with his 0-3 inch one.
