Donaldson 51" MIA CAT.... anyone

I want to free up my exhaust, but don't want to go louder than I have to. I've done some searching and seems donaldson M090544 is popular, but many are using that aeroturbine in combination with the donaldson, OR are using the CAT in combo with the Donaldson. What I would like to know is... Is anyone running just the Donaldson muffler, no CAT or aeroturbine? How does it sound compared to stock? Things I would like to gain are, reduced EGT's, increased throttle response(less turbo lag), and maybe increased MPG's, but I like not being able to hear exhaust when I cruising down the highway. That's a sure sign I'm getting old. OH, and I DO NOT want to hear about a sick bird, just about the question I asked, thank you.

Search the forums on Donaldson and you will find a few opinions. I'll let you know what I think when I get mine installed.

I used the 34" Donaldson with my full 4" and I think it is only slightly louder than stock. Everyone remarks how quiet it is when they ride in it.

Man, current price at our local Freightliner dealer here at FT Worth Texas is $86 and I Have to order it. Not in stock. Good part number

You could try the International dealer in McKinney. i don't know what they stock in mufflers but they have been helpful on other issues in the past.
