Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Donaldson filters

How do Donaldson air/oil filters compare to Fleetguard filters are they better or worse, and does anybody use them on their truck.

hey cory,

I've been running the donaldson oil filters for about 25k. I run amsoil synthetic and that's whats rec. by them. I ran the fleetgard before and my oil sample analysis seems to stay cleaner with the donaldson. Which kindof sucks b/c the fleets are cheeper :{ . Both are good filters, but if you're going to run the fleet... spend the extra couple of bucks on the upgraded one.

Most BHAF are Donaldson filters. Rebadged ones as well (Wix, Carquest, ... ... . ) I have been using them for a few years. Most (if not all) John Deere air and possibly the lube filters as well, are Donaldson. Great filters.
