I'm thinking of installing this muffler (Donaldson MO90544) on my 2005 to quiet it down. Previous owner removed factory exhaust from the catalytic converter back and put in 4" pipe without any muffler or resonator. It's loud and obnoxious to me.This Donaldson muffler is 51" long with a 9" diameter but it looks like there's room for it. My truck is a Longbed. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

That's what I'm running. Sounds good and most importantly no drone on the highway and that is with me just dumping it down before the rear axle.

I went with the cost-effective NAPA alternative NIsaacs pointed out ($128) on my '04 with 4" turbo back (no cat). No drone, quiet, no power loss (prior had a straight through muffler).

Only difference I found is the Donaldson tapers down to a perforated point inside; whereas, the NAPA has a solid cap inside the 4" inner chamber that I'm guessing acts like a baffle. The NAPA unit is aluminized steel. I couldn't determine the Donaldson's material.

Highly recommend. Close to stock sound level and better performance.
