Thanks, TDR Staff

OK - How do you guys clean your AFE or big air cleaners?

What Californians don't have...

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON--

Why didn't George W. think of this? I think this has possibilities. Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us!

The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor. An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.

Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil :

These companies import oil from the Middle East:

Shell... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 205,742,000 barrels

Chevron/Texaco... ... ... ... ... ..... 144,332,000 barrels

Exxon /Mobil... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 130,082,000 barrels

Marathon/Speedway... ... ... ..... 117,740,000 barrels

Amoco... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! And now gas is at $52. 00 per barrel and that gives them even more money !!!

These companies do not import oil from the Middle East:

Citgo... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 0 barrels

Sunoco... ... ... ... ... ..... 0 barrels

Conoco... ... ... ... ... ..... 0 barrels

Sinclair... ... ... ... ... ... ... 0 barrels

BP/Phillips... ... ... ... ... 0 barrels

Hess... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 0 barrels

ARCO... ... ... ... ... ... ... 0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.

Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I'm sending this note to about thirty people.

If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) . and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!

If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it ... . THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take?

If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days.

Here is the real Info

Most of this is only partially true.

The facts

I buy Sinclair first and conoco next. The sinclair I buy is refined right up on I-80 in WY and pumped from the rocky mountain west or canada. If everyone was to boycott saudi oil, the companies that had all the business would start to import from the mideast because it's cheaper and all the other countries wouldn't be able to keep up on the required production.

Your statement is NOT 100% actrate.

Dell Computers are use all over Saudi arabia by the National Oil company and government. HP is the preferred Printer, Chevy Caprice is the car of choice, Suburbans too, there chyrslers too, and fords truck everywhere. Haliburton has a huge present in the middle east as does Flour, Bechtel, and American construction Companies. RThe National OIl Company only buy American vechicles, a huge number on fleet than turns over every 3-4 years.

Ther consideratn to building refineries to send gasonline and diesel to the US, because you can not build refinery anymorein the USA due to enviromental constraints. Check the last one just recently canceled after site approval in Arizona. Can make a profit due to strict enviormental guide lines.

The sad part is, if you did suceed in your boycot. The cost of gasoline would double or triple due to the huge demand on the retailers without middleeast supply chains. They end shifting the supplys around, It a goble ecomony.

The New secretary of energy has the right approach, it another thread, Nucelar power, drilling in Alaska and more effiecent cars.

Wait until 2012-2017 when the oil production peaks work wide then price will real go crazy. If you buy a small oil well now you be set for life.

Here that info will not help you. All the local stations are owned by one of three suppliers. I'm joining the bio-D coop.

Oil alternatives?

While a boycott of Saudi oil might sound like good idea, we must really consider the dilemma the US is in. Back in 1956 M. King Hubbert (a geophysicist with Shell Oil) predicted that the US oil production would peak in or around 1970. His prediction turned out to be correct FOR US PRODUCTION. Today we have no alternative but to import oil (over 6 million BARRELS a day) to maintain the lifestyle and economy we enjoy. Many renowned geologists today agree that the world's oil production will peak this year or next, but you won't hear this from our current administration. Unfortunately the Saudi pennsula is the only remaining geographic area with significant oil reserves that we know of, (besides Iran and Iraq). With the world's demand for oil continuing to rise at an alarming rate, I'd say we're in deep doo doo! FYI, the contribution from the proposed drilling in Alaska won't even put a dent in our appetite for oil. I think in ten years or so, we'll be in a very troubling predicament. It'll be bad enough that we can't affort to put diesel in our trucks, but think about all the folks that depend on fuel oil to heat!
