I was responding to another thread with a joke but it got me wondering. Does anyone know of a pickup mounted backhoe for small jobs like buried power lines, etc??

Check Case Power Equipment - They make the Davis Hoe and at one time they had one that could be mounted about anywhere. Our local gas company has several one tons with a Bobcat hoe setup. Denny

Another one is http://www.cadplans.com . Looks like the same type of thing as the UBuildit website. The one in this picture is set up to be towed around like a trailer. I figure, instead of having its own motor, why not put a PTO hydraulic pump on the truck and run some hydraulic lines back to the bumper. A few quick disconnects, and you'd have a much more powerful source of hydraulic power instead of the little engine in this picture.

I was just thinking, this would be a great thing to have when you get fed up with the guy tailgating you!
