The high price of fuel fits right in with the goals of liberal "save the environment" types like Al Gore, et. al, whose aim is to reduce Green house gases and other pollutants, not help us reduce costs. They have said for 20 years that the way to reduce fuel usage is to have it cost as much as it does in Europe.

I agree. People like Al Gore know what's best for the world. They certainly aren't in it because of the billions of dollars that are to be made by "remedies" to climate change.

Somehow that article seems a little too good to be true... I'm skeptical (but hopeful).

what ever happens..... we need to make sure the US is the last country to run out of it. expensive but good plan. personally i do think that is the "big secret plan" and we will likely not see our resources tapped, assuming they exist, until the mid east among other places are dry and slip back to the dark ages. of course that means prices will not drop soon.



i'm not selling my truck either way... i may have to drive the hoopty car and let beautiful sit in the drive and look pretty more than i currently do but i'm keeping her.

I'm not selling my truck. I can buy alot of fuel for what it would cost to replace it. Al Gore and George Soros are only interested in control of YOU. Saving the planet, for a select, elite, connected few. I would not characterize them as, "have nothing, do nothing, government assistance dependent, rabble". They also have alot of contemporaries. "Know Thine enemy", is a quote that has real significance here! Arrogant ravings that mischaracterize and demean a foe (and including everyone else in this mischaracterization) does nothing to correct the situation and tends to divert attention away from the source of their ravings. There is no doubt that people will take up a cause when fed half truths. Somebody(s) is bankrolling these movements, creating slanted research, etc.

You know as well as I do that MONEY is the driving force and the drillers wont drill and the oil wont flow, pipelines wont be built, nor will any new refineries come on line unless there is MONEY to be made. IMHO GregH

I just got back home from making a trip from Jackson Missouri to Jacksonville Florida to malabar Florida & home again towing 6,000 lbs traveling 2133 miles at 73 miles per hour and averaged 19. 75 miles per gallon Friday. NO I AM NOT GOING TO SELL MY CTD! even if i did have to pay $4. 09 per gallon for dsl down there. Even at $3. 00 per gallon a gasser doesn't cut it especially with lacking the ability to "smoke " someone who tries to grab your lane when you are already signaling to change lanes.

Get real. The oil corporations know that we will pay $3. 80 to $4. 30. Why would they drop the price when those stuck up, spoiled rich pricks could expand their bank account. It doesn't matter how much oil there is because we have already proven that we will pay whatever price they set diesel and gas at. As for the typical environmental wacko's, I love to **** them off that's why I drive a diesel with exhaust pouring out the tail pipe, that's why I eat meat, that's why I have and love guns, and that's why I chop down trees for fire wood to cook meat with. If they don't like it, tfb. It's not like I'm asking them to be the same or do the same. They need to understand that God did not rest on the seventh day. That's when he said let there be Cummins to set the standard for all other diesels. Also, let there be football.

His mansion is in Tennessee BTW. Check out Generation Investment Management LLP to see where Al Gore spends his money, and encourages others too, on carbon credits (indulgences). Look down at the 4th paragraph and just take a look at who is the chairman of the board. There are lots of articles about this. Just Google "al gore carbon credits" and you will see lots.

Well sure, but as far as the rich liberals are concerned, fuel and travel expense issue shouldn't AFFECT the lower forms of life such as us peons - we are supposed to stay on the plantation working for the Master - and if we ARE allowed to travel, foot power or the family burro should be enough.



The luxury of uncontrolled travel is only for the rich and ruling classes - like most Communist and Socialist countries - and where WE are headed...
