Remember Them

Did anyone besides myself take the time to have a good laugh :-laf at this show. If the so called I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER HITS THE FAN as all of them talked about most of the country is LOST. The worst offenders to the survival scenario were the couple from the New England area they might as well just play Russian Roulette with an automatic with their line of thinking. If you can watch it and get ready for the BIG WHAT EVER to happen :-laf

I think it was the Nat Geo channel is what we watched it on. Its shameful how pathetically ignorant people are about others of or species. This is the one I had to wonder what it is SHE'S BEEN SMOKIN If its that good I WANT SOME they are OUT THERE is a mild thought

I watched it and got some ideas from the first couple with their container fortress. I wish I had the botanist's knowledge. The rest of them .

Watching did make me see myself through different eyes. Now I know why everyone rolls their eyes at me when I start talking doomsday. :D

The guy friend of Doris Day of doom. Man that guy was a laugh.

Ya Doris and her partner they IMO REALLY need to re evaluate their thinking. They had great plans for food and like most they didnt have enough water to last a week IMO. But to think that when People start going nuts and have nothing to eat that they will leave Doris and Buddy ALONE. Like the guy on the show said look at what happened in LA when the Lakers WON and they were CELEBRATING could you imagine what would happen when the KFC runs out of CHINCKEN AND PURPLE DRINK. They ask what they would use for defence and they said just the KINDNESS OF PEOPLE!!:-laf They must live in the land of OZ

The Container Guy in Texas was OK but I had a problem with his GUN"S 22's are great for food gathering but if the S H T FAN and people are coming at me the 22 hasn't got that kind of reach or knock down power. I kind of like warning people to STAY AWAY from about 800 yards :-laf

And the BUG OUT thing that most were going to do if all else fails. THAT would be my FIRST CHOICE. Head for the hills the family THINKS IM NUTS I can have all of our mules packed and heading to the mountains in under 3 hours i'm sure. They can have the house and all the things that are not going to help me survive in the mountains.

I'm really concerned about the thinking of people in the U. S. they just have had it so easy for so long that IMO they have no CLUE!!!!

I watched this, for a little while and was thinking that "Doris Day" was gathering and storing food for somebody she did not know. There may be local sharing at first. However, a marauding band of foragers would completely wipe out any resistance, use up the resources while scouting for other caches. Then move on to the next target. Anarchy will be the rule of law and the ability to defend your cache IMHO is only a short term solution. Being able to move and survive without stores of food will be a highly regarded and necessary skill!

If you have stores of food and water, you must be able to defend it. If you have an army, you need to feed that army!

Just some random thoughts!

GregH

Would that be the Atkins diet VERY HIGH PROTEIN and WATER :-laf Greg got a couple of Mule's that have low or no cost seats available!!!!!!!!;) Have the housing Market cornered also :D

My bride and I watched it. That N. E. couple... sheesh. First thought we had was, "And the people with the guns will take your crap from you regardless of your community. " Idiots.

Being prepared isn't a bad thing, but when you're obsessive over it...

Ut oh....

Ugh, and I was going to say "I have a bolt cutter and plenty ammo. "

I'm not ashamed to say if it comes down to it, that'll be my plan. My job is my family.

There's no way I can plant enough food to sustain my family for any substantial time on 100x100 lot.

The show is designed to insert propaganda into the minds of the Amerikan public!!

It portrays virtually all of them as extremist nuts!!

It is smart to have a supply of food, clean water, cash, and the means to protect it and your family from a host of things...

My wife thought I was nuts for wanting to keep a couple months worth of food and some cash around just in case the card doesn't work...

Anyone remember the solar flare that knocked out several satellites just a couple years ago???

Nice plan you have there. Looters don't last very long in a long term emergency like you are thinking.

If the house is abandoned and it's a national emergency I dont look at it as looting. If there's NO food and nobody in a house... and you're pretty sure SOMETHING is in there that you and yours can make a meal from... .....
I'm just looking at a bad situation in realistic terms.

If your family is starving, what would you do in my shoes big guy?

Maybe youre not thinking as large/serious an emergency as I'm picturing.

I have a few months food, but where I am I'm pretty limited.

Material things can be replaced. Take what you need to exist and leave the rest and head for the hills. Get some altitude so you can see who's coming up and take action preventing them for actually doing it. Unless they have pack animals they are going to be so laden down with TO MUCH STUFF THEY DONT NEED that taking them out wont be to very hard a shot. If others come up and see body parts they will think twice about venturing any further up

I wonder if these people realize the folks they are preparing to shoot are likely to be their neighbors?I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a looter but, I'm not sure I could kill someone who is trying to keep their children from starving.
