2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Door adjustment

How do I adjust the door on my truck? The latch/striker do not line up. (it's like the back end of the door opposite of the hinges is sagging) thanks

Have you checked to see if the top hinge is worn out? Open the door and grab the bottom and lift up. You'll be able to feel if it has a little 'slop' or not. If so, best alternative is to R&R upper hinge assembly.



Unless you have a support for the door, it's a job more easily done with two people.

If it is worn hinges there is a kit available. (over size hinge pin)

You drill out hinge pin holes, with spec. size bit, then install new larger diameter pins.
