Door Ajar Warning Suddenly comes on

Anyone had a similar issue?



I only have 90 Miles on the odometer in my '07 3500 Q/C. I was driving down the highway when the "Door Ajar" warning popped on and all the lights in the cab turned on. The door (the passenger rear) is tightly latched and I have tried opening/closing and stopping and restarting the engine. Didn't work, the warning is still on... Has this happened to anyone else? I assume a sensor is bad, but I don't want to drive back to my dealer (25 Miles) if I don't have to.

Is the cargo light on? I think this also turns the interior light on too. Seems to me that if driving and the cargo light is on it chimed.

The chime goes on when you leave your signal on for over a mile too. (Scared the living... ... . )

I don't know if the cargo light came on as a result of this. It might be that the cargo light comes on when you open the truck doors. I know that I did not have the cargo light switched on. This was definitely an issue with the truck thinking that the door was open

I tried driving with the cargo light on this AM for about 100 feet, and no chime.
