Door lock help?

Hey guys... my truck has automatic locks and the rear passenger-side lock quit working, child safety lever isn't engaged... any help on diagnosing/fixing?

It is most likely the rubber tube between the door and body. It is a tight bend for the wires inside there. What you will probably find is wires that have been bent back and forth,and now have broken.

Also... settle a bet for me... will manually locking and unlocking a specific door lock do damage to automatic locks?

absolutely not.



the only way to damage them is to hold down on the "Unlock" or "Lock" button too long. even then, they may be thermally protected.
