My power door locks don't want to work in the morning. After I turn the ignition on they work fine for the rest of the day even with the ignition off. Do yall have any ideas?

This may b in the right direction - or not...

Well, now that your truck is getting a few years on it, you will be discovering some of the wonderful Dodge accessories. This particular one tends to be from corroded contacts on the switches themselves. I've replaced all but one of mine (on my classic '94 the window and door switches are the same) and that last one is now on the list.

I don't know why they tend to be suceptable to oxidation but mine are. If you don't have the "express down" window switch, your window and door lock switches may be identical like mine. You could try swapping them to confirm my theory.

If that's the problem. They are small and not horrifically expensive. And they are easy.

Pop the interior door pull cup out and reach under the panel between the switch bezel and the hole you just opened. There is a tab holding the bezel in that the switches are attached to. Take your time and be gentile with the switches.

Both door lock switches and the passenger window switch are the same. The driver's window switch might be one unit. If you have the illumunated switches, they might be all one switch.
