Door Lock

I locked the truck, went into the restaurant, came out and couldn't open the drivers door. The remote unlocked all the other doors but not the drivers door. It won't unlock with the key, and I can't pull the button up. Anybody else have this happen?

I had a very same problem 1 month after I got my truck. Take it to the dealer and have them replace the mechanism under warentee, this seems to be the only solution.

You can open it from the inside, but no way in heck from the outside.

I Had the exact same thing happen to my 04. 5. The dealer had to replace the drivers door power lock actuator (which took a week to order). I had this replaced about 6 weeks ago. Now, I have noticed that occasionally when I Lock the doors with the remote the passanger side doors will not lock. Hopefully you will not have to spend a week climbing into your truck from the passanger side as I did. Good Luck

I guess it's off to the dealer first thing today. I can,t unlock the door from inside or outside. I can get out useing the door handle but can't get in. Hope they have the part in stock. First a window schattered in the middle of the night, then the door seals were all ripped up now I can't get in. What next? Maybe I'll have to take the engine out and put it in a real truck. Brett, I live 30 miles east of Albany.

Just got back from the dealer. He said he never heard of this happening. I told I know of 2 or 3 other people it happened to, he scratched his head and said to bring it in tomorrow at 11:00. To be continued.

I took my truck in at 11:00 am today and left at 12:00am. It was the lock actuator. The service tec. said it was locked up, and couldn't be fixed, so he put a new one in. They keep them in stock, so I guess it's a common problem. I give Becks Chrysler in Palatka a thumbs up, great service
