Has any one replaced the weather strip at the bottom outside of the door main windows? any advice, do you have to remove the glass for access? Mine is in bad shape.

JJohn-----I replaced one about six months ago. Seems like it has metal retainers on the lip that secure it to the door. Had to pull the old one out with the window down. It was easy to snap in as I recall but be sure to fit the upward curve to the door side insul. strip before snapping it all the way in as once its in its hard to get out without tearing it up. No need to remove window. Dealer had to order mine, they are right and left, inside and outside. Couldnt find my receipt right now and am leaving town for a few days early in the morning, seems like about $28. -----Bob

Make sure you use OEM parts. I tried some aftermarket door as well as window seals and they were a POS. Ended up replacing the things after a couple of months. If you can talk your dealer into a discount, the price is not that bad. One dealer quoted me $56 for one door seal, got it from another dealer for $41. I don't remember what I paid for the window seals.

The bottom window seals are tough to get back in without pulling the window but it can be done. There are metal clips that slide into a hole in the door frame, is hard to get the angle right to get started. Do a search as there were a couple of guys that replied to me when I asked the question.
