The power window and door lock switches on my '97 keep breaking. At first the pass. side window switch wouldn't go up. Then it crapped out completely. Then the door lock switch on the pass. side wouldn't do anything either. Replaced both switches and it's been working fine, but now the switch on the driver's door for the pass. window won't make the window go up. WTF? How can 3 switches go bad in less than a year, when there's no reason for even one to go bad ever?

I've been going through this for the last 2 years. I finally figured out it is the wiring, not the switches! Now when they quit, I pop out the door grab and pop out the switch assembly. That usually fixes it.

Both sides do it to that side or the other and when I remove the door panel, of course everthing works!   That's why I'm still dealing with it. I've tried checking the wires for chafing or breaks but I can't spot anything.
