Hey guys,
I bought a used 1500 quad cab hemi to replace my 92 D250 that I am trying to sell. I know I should have bought the diesel, but it wasn't in the budget, but I realize now I made a huge mistake with this hemi. I am having issues with my weatherstripping, and I mentioned it to a friend who has a 05 Power wagon, and just traded in his 04 2500 for it. He mentioned his 04 had the same issue shortly after he bought it,and they replaced the weatherstripping with the same setup he has on his power wagon. He told me there was a TSB for it,so yetserday I was in the neighborhood of the dealership, and dropped in to see if I could get this fixed at some point. The service people looked at me like I had 5 heads when I mentioned this supposed TSB,and "looked at the computer system",but could not find anything about this issue. I was also asked if I had a warrenty on the truck. I told them that I purchased an extended warrenty, but I would rather not spend the $100 deductible on a known problem. They told me that even if there were a TSB(which it appears there is)that it would not be free, and that I would be required to pay for it. Does this sound right? Is the TSB listed in the last post the current one?If I go in with tha number in hand will they be required to fix it free of charge? Thanks in advance.
