Hey, All:

Layne has provided pricing for this deal as:

$1550-bumper

$FREE-lower radiator protector (3rd gen ONLY)

$150-light tubes for factory fog lights (optional)

$150-receiver tube (optional)

$100-crating fee

Custom powdercoat color or Line-X type bedliner material also available.

Anyone interested?

Just a question isn't this his regular prices? Or is the discount the lower protector? What would the discount be for a 2nd gen (94-02)?

Has anyone got a picture of the rear bumper? Are the storage compartments lockable and sealed?

There hasn't been any mention of the cost of those and I think I'd prefer to come up with the 'hybrid car eater' first.

I've been rear ended 4 times in two months. Its getting old.

Guava:

The compartment is lockable. It is not watertight though. You might be able to add a bit of weatherstripping to make it a better seal. There are actually 3 push in type locks across the back of it. You have to apply pressure to the lid to get the locks to lock so it is not a bad seal but not watertight. As far as price I would call Layne at 970-988-4010 to get it straight from the horses mouth.

Is that the final pricing?

If I remember correctly that is the price I was quoted over a year ago when I first looked at this bumper.

Finally?

I think this should work . These links should be bumper pictures.

Maybe not the best, but I've chopped, compressed, and massaged them for a while trying to post them. Oo.

Anyway, better pictures can be done some time in the future.

I believe the original Earthroamer had a DOR rear bumper with spare tire carrier and at one point during his trip to Baja, the rear tire carrier fell off (http://www.earthroamer.com/galleries/2001baja/34.html).

Does anyone know if this was the same bumper or have there been changes? Or was the Earthroamer's bumper a differenty type?

I am looking for a heavy duty rear bumper with tire carrier and fuel/H20 carrier. Any other ideas?

thanks

The Earthromer was a ONE OF that also included a winch. I'm sure Layne has used that as a learning experience and is always looking for ways to improve his product. But I to was very suprised to hear of a breakage with one of Layne's bumpers, front or rear! Also I would think if you have the time he would/could build anything you could dream of, just be prepared to WAIT :{ Jeff

Sorry also forgot, the last pic's I have of the rear bumper include spare tire on one side and fuel carrier on the other call him and he can send you a few pic's.

Layne says:

These are the new improved model that will not break. Oo.

Mine is only the fourth one , it has a different tire carrier design.

The jerry can holder on the other side is also an available option.

Having seen both up close and personal the new ones are different. They are the same general idea but definitely different.

Any updates on this one? I really want one of these bumpers but I'm not too sure that the price is very much of a deal.

Does anybody know what the pricing is for a rear bumper with both the tire and fuel/cargo carriers?? Also, are there any pictures of the cargo carrier?

thanks

Holds a 5 gallon blitz can, swings out from thr left side.

I think the holders are about $400 @.
