double clunk???

here's a quick one. sometimes when i turn corners [mainly when it's raining] i get a double 'clunk' from under the front end of the truck. I've crawled under and had one of my kids turn the wheel and i can't see anything doing anything bad or moving or clunking while i'm looking at it. must be a stealth clunk or something. it's hard to show off your truck when you go around a corner and 'CLUNK'. any ideas anybody?

My brother had exactly the same problem. I'll get in touch and ask him what he did to fix it. He no longer has that problem.

I have had the same thing in the past and finally figured out what caused the problem. When I jacked the front end up under the frame and let the suspension drop it takes the weight of the springs and thereafter when I drove the truck I heard the same clunking sound while turning corners. My solution, which worked for me, went to and empty parking lot and did some very slow tight as possible figure eights and the springs will reseat themselves and the clunking disappeared.
